Study Visit in Czech Organisations Involved in Volunteering

Study Visit

17-21 April 2023 | Praha, Brno, Tišnov, Czech Republic

This Study visit will provide a possibility for participants to meet, explore and discuss practices and experiences in order to get inspired and network. The focus will be on the topics of environment and combining formal and non-formal education.

The European Solidarity Corps programme aims to inspire the involved organisations to share their experiences and tools across borders. What can support the organisations on their journey is meeting their peers and experiencing good practices.

This Study visit will provide a possibility for participants to meet, explore and discuss practices and experiences in order to get inspired and network. The focus will be on the topics of environment and combining formal and non-formal education.

The participants will have opportunity to visit 3 local organisations which are active in hosting volunteers and experience their work.  They will be provided with a space to discuss and compare different practices implementing the programme and youthwork in general.

The event can serve as a space for creating new ideas and planning future partnerships.

The activity will involve outdoor activites and visiting a couple of Czech cities (Praha, Brno, Tišnov).

The organisations involved:

Spolek Hnízdo is based in Tišnov and focuses on community education. They founded primary schools and a kindergarten, where they use innovative approaches and look for solutions tailored to the needs of their community.

Hnutí Brontosaurus  opperates in the fields of nature protection, youth work and experiential pedagogy. They also organise regular events and camps for young people.

Za sebevědomé Tišnovsko focuses on preserving and restoring cultural and natural heritage of the Tišnov region. It runs a local eco-advisory centre, a forest kindergarten and also organises many events for the local community.

All three organisations have experience hosting international volunteers and are a part of the European Solidarity Corps programme.
