Zoom event: Diskriminacija i ljudska prava u BiH

YES Alumni in Bosnia and Herzegovina and OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina invite you to a presentation and discussion on discrimination and human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

In 2019, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina performed an extensive survey with an aim to measure the general understanding of discrimination, the extent to which individuals claim to have been exposed to discrimination, the number of instances of discrimination observed by survey respondents, and social distance as a driver for prejudice and stereotypes. Nieve Heskin, Human Rights Officer, will take a look at and explain the findings of this survey and will discuss their implications for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Additionally, in 2020, the Mission performed surveys and research during the COVID-19 pandemic on arising human rights concerns related to the crisis response of the BiH government. Marina Barreiro Marino, Human Rights, and Gender Equality Senior International Consultant, will dive into some of the results and will elaborate on the effects that certain measures and restrictions had on specific groups of people. She will introduce concepts related to diversity and gender.

We will finish off the presentation with a Q&A session and a discussion.

The event will take place on July 15, 2020 at 11 AM on Zoom.
