Open Call for Speakers at POINT 14 Conference

Are you a civil society activist, journalist, academic, technologist or practitioner using technology for the public good? Are you looking for a platform to present your idea, project or research? Do you work on initiatives related to government accountability, transparency, open data, media integrity or civic tech? Are you fluent in English?

If so, we invite you to apply to become a speaker at POINT 14.

We are excited to announce the open call for speakers for the upcoming POINT 14 Conference, which will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 10 to June 13, 2026.

This year’s edition is particularly significant as we will also mark 25 years of the work and impact of CA “Why not”, celebrating a legacy of questioning, challenging and driving democratic change across the region and beyond.

If you are working on an innovative project, researching a topic relevant to the regional and global POINT audience, implementing impactful initiatives or wish to share your skills through a workshop, presentation or an interactive session – we encourage you to apply!

  • Date: June 10-13, 2026
  • Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Application Deadline: March 18, 2026 
  • Travel and accommodation costs will be covered for selected speakers
  • Visa support will be provided, if required
  • The working language of the conference is English (no translation provided)

As in previous years, the program will include panels, interviews, presentations and interactive sessions. We will also continue to expand the space for participant-led formats, workshops, and collaborative discussions – creating a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and co-creation.

POINT (Political Accountability and New Technologies) is the leading regional conference of its kind in Southeast Europe, dedicated to exploring the intersection of politics, technology, media, and civic engagement.

Since its first edition in 2012, POINT has grown into a unique crossroads for organizations and individuals working on democracy, transparency, and accountability. The conference fosters collaboration, showcases innovative tools and initiatives, and strengthens regional and global networks.
