ABOUT THE PROJECT
The eight-day project ‘’Get Digital, Get Skilled’’ in Istanbul combines education, cultural experiences, and skill development, providing participants with a unique opportunity to broaden their perspectives, deepen their digital skills, and establish lasting connections with peers from diverse backgrounds. Through a well-structured program, the initiative aims to empower young individuals to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and contribute to future projects that promote positive change.
The first day focuses on participants getting to know each other, discussing non-formal education, and deepening their understanding of the project’s goals. Day two aims to explore obstacles to digital literacy and ways to overcome them through theater sketches. The third day emphasizes enhancing participants’ web design and moderation skills. Day four introduces job-searching tools and CV development. Day five includes field visits related to digitalization and environmental practices. On the sixth day, local youth share insights on Erasmus+ and work on intercultural project ideas. The seventh day aims to increase participants’ understanding of the Erasmus+ program and support the development of new project ideas. The eighth day wraps up the youth exchange, providing a platform to reflect on the lessons learned, share future project ideas, and receive feedback from other teams and leaders.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
- Address Digital Literacy Challenges: Participants will explore and identify obstacles to digital literacy. They will use theater sketches to raise awareness about digital literacy challenges.
- Enhance Web Design and Moderation Skills: Participants will take part in sessions to improve web design skills. The focus will be put on enhancing moderation skills for effective online communication and community management.
- Empower Participants in Job Seeking: Participants will be introduced to job searching tools and strategies and they will gain knowledge and skills needed for successful career development in the digital era.
- Explore Digitalization and Environmental Practices: Participants will visit institutions leading in digitalization. They will deepen their understanding of the impact of digitalization on environmental sustainability.
- Promote Intercultural Understanding and Collaboration: Participants will be encouraged to network and exchange their perspectives and ideas. Through their ideas, they will promote cross-cultural understanding.
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
It is created for young people who are open to meeting participants from other countries and are motivated to participate in a mutual learning process in a very intercultural setting. They must be able to communicate in English. Participants must attend all training sessions and actively participate in them.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVELLING
Participants will additionally receive information regarding the accommodation. All three meals during the day will be fully covered.
