Our youth peacebuilding program is designed specifically for young people like you who want to build a brighter future for themselves and their community. You’ll have the chance to work with other young people and learn about conflict transformation, effective communication, and empowering marginalized populations. You’ll also learn.

–      Knowledge of key concepts related to peacebuilding and conflict transformation;

–      Values, attitudes, and beliefs that support youth participation in peacebuilding, based on diversity, inclusion, and human rights;

–      Tools and techniques for analyzing, responding to and preventing conflict situations;

–      Facilitation and training skills for delivering non-formal peer education activities;

–      Sensitivity and know-how for engaging youth of diverse backgrounds and identities, including vulnerable, marginalized and hard-to-reach youth.

The training will cover a range of topics, including the root causes of conflict, the role of youth in peacebuilding, conflict resolution strategies, and the promotion of human rights. You will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field of peacebuilding and engage in interactive sessions with fellow participants.

What we are offering

The training will take place on the 24th and 25th of June and requires participants to be present for the entire duration in person. UNFPA will supply materials for the training, as well as provide food and refreshments to those in attendance. Additionally, UNFPA will award certificates of attendance to all participants who successfully complete the training.

Individuals aged 18 to 30 who hold Bosnian citizenship are encouraged to submit their applications, with a particular emphasis on those hailing from rural areas, females, persons with disabilities, Roma, and members of the LGBTIQ+ communities.

This training is organized under the project “Strengthening the role of youth in promoting increased mutual understanding, constructive narrative, respect for diversity, and trust in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Kosovo[1]”.
