Non-formal Education Booster

Training Course / 17-18 June 2021 | Online, Czech Republic

Boost your activities with these two afternoons-long online workshops! The Booster is here for all those who are looking for inspiration and guidance in supporting young people’s learning.

Two experienced trainers are going to open the door to the fundamental theories and focus mainly on how to use them practically and boost your educational practice.

★ OBJECTIVES ★

  • To improve the quality of learning in long-term educational projects, mainly volunteering projects and solidarity projects within the European Solidarity Corps programme.
  • To refresh the most important principles of non-formal education.
  • To explore ways of blending online and offline approaches in long-term projects.

★ TARGET GROUP ★

Everybody who works with the European Solidarity Corps volunteers or Solidarity project teams implements projects with them, coordinates them, and develops volunteering projects.

June 17th from 13.00 to 17:30

  • Principles of Non-formal education.
  • Learning objectives and quality.
  • The individual learning process and Youthpass.

June 18th from 13.00 to 17:30

  • Putting blended learning into practice.
  • Tools and Methods.

★ ABOUT THE TRAINERS ★

The training is delivered by Klára Berg and Robert Furiel, trainers from the National Agency pool of trainers in the Czech Republic.

Klára supports mainly young people, but also adults who strive for a just and sustainable world. As a non-formal education trainer, she has been covering mainly political participation, activism, NGOs, and volunteering. She believes in the power of non-formal education, social justice, human rights, and environmental protection. Klára feels very lucky to work full-time as a non-formal education trainer. Ten years ago she founded a youth educational NGO Be International and worked hard on learning all the tricks and theories and collecting experience to become a trainer. Robert is passionate about non-formal education and the human rights of LGBT+ people. He organises training and youth exchanges for LGBT+ young people and youth workers. Robert knows the power of non-formal education to change hearts and minds and is very grateful to the European Union for the unwavering promotion and protection of human rights. Apart from being a trainer, he is the director of the local PRIDE festival in Košice.
