3rd student conference “Model OSCE 2020”
Applications for the third Model OSCE Conference are now OPEN!
Model OSCE 2020 is a student conference organized in a form of academic simulation of the OSCE and its councils. Model OSCE is for the second time organized by Students’ Club of Political Science Faculty at the University of Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska – Bosnia and Herzegovina. The third edition of Model OSCE will simulate the work of Permanent Council and will take place at the University of Banja Luka, in April 06-07, 2020.
To ensure a true diplomatic experience, Model OSCE will also consist of panel discussions held by OSCE representatives and other experts, round tables, social events and many more. Model OSCE aims to bring young people interested in international relations, diplomacy and human rights together and to provide a platform for quality discussion on global issues. Model OSCE promotes the value of mutual understanding and importance of different perspectives on important issues in modern politics. Our goal is to initiate information and knowledge exchange, thus prepare, motivate and inspire future leaders for their service in diplomacy.
Third edition of Model OSCE will give our participants an opportunity to discuss questions such as Strengthening good environmental governance and ensuring sustainable development in the field of plastic waste reduction and Catalyzing efforts to preserve and develop pure water resources in the OSCE region. With their assigned countries, our participants will be asked to do a research on country’s national and foreign policies, its global position and international relations. Beside the council sessions, we wish to provide our an opportunity for networking, information exchange and informal discussions, which will be conducted through social events and panel discussions.
