Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most unique cities in Southeast Europe. It is often called the “Meeting Point of Cultures”, as different religions, traditions, and cultures have lived together here for centuries.
The city has a rich history shaped by Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern European influences. In Sarajevo, mosques, churches, and synagogues can be found very close to each other, symbolising coexistence and diversity.
Sarajevo is also known for its warm hospitality. Visitors often describe the city as friendly, open, and welcoming. The local people are helpful and proud of their culture and traditions.
Surrounded by mountains, Sarajevo offers a mix of urban life and nature. It is famous for hosting the 1984 Winter Olympic Games, and many Olympic sites can still be visited today.
