Over the 4-day training program, the participants are expected to get used to identify and practice how to conduct a training needs assessment and strategically use training to address those needs.

General Activity Description

We focus on very important soft skills for young people who travel, volunteer or work with people from different cultures. The training is practical – we do role plays, teamwork, small games and reflection. At the end, every participant will do two short practice sessions to show what they learn.

Goals & ObjectivesČ

Goal 1: Better cross cultural and Emotional intelligence skills. 

Objective 1.1: Learn to communicate  with people from different backgrounds and cultures and accept others regardless their relegion or ideology. 

Indicator 1: 80% of participants can accept each others without judgement. 

Objective 2: Understand own emotions and emotions of others (EQ).

Indicator 1: 70% of participants show higher empathy score after workshop activity.

Objective 3: Handle conflicts and reduce cultural clashes. 

Indicator 1: 80% of participants can resolve any conflict using means of dialogue. 

Goal 2: Work Better in Teams and Show Leadership

Objective 1: Learn how to work in mixed culture teams.

Indicator 1: 80% of participants finish group task  challenge successfully.

Indicator 2: 70% of participants lead at least one exercise in the workshop.

Indicator 3: 80% of participants show adaptability during activity sessions. 

Goal 3: Personal Growth and Productivity

Objective 3.1: Learn Presentation skills tools for volunteer work.

Methodology: We use non-formal education – learning by doing, and All sessions will be  interactive, simple and it depends on many different concepts such as small group tasks, roleplay and simulation, reflection and feedback circles, creative brainstorming. 

-Activities Overview

1. Cross-Cultural Communication Roleplay: We are going to design a workshop for participants based on role play which they can Practice real situations  with cultural differences and clashes  with people from different cultures in order to Learn how to listen, avoid misunderstanding, and respect others regardless their religion or ideology. 

2. Dialogue & Conflict Resolution Training: We are going to organize Special session about means of  dialogue and solving conflicts. We can invite a guest trainer or peace ambassador from ” Ambassadors for Dialogue  team” to teach participants active listening and peaceful negotiation skills.

3. Creative Presentation Tools (Prezi Workshop): We are going to teach participants creative and untraditional tools for making  presentations (like Prezi) to make slides more creative and interesting, not just classic PowerPoint.

4. Innovation and creativity: Creative Problem Solving. We are going to do a workshop about ” design thinking ”  which we will teach participants how to apply this method in social work and international projects in order to resolve social and international challenges in creative and innovative way, and 

At the end of the session we will ask participants to do a Presentation about their creative ideas and give them Instant feedback. NB: we will pick the best applications to attend Physical training in Cairo, Egypt.
