The initiative will be held in&nbsp;<strong>Fes, Morocco&nbsp;<\/strong>from <strong>25 to 29 of November 2024<\/strong>. The programmeincludes four days of teamworking on project proposals related to the thematic clusters as well as a final pitch event. Participants will exploring three thematic clusters: <strong>Green Skills, Youth Mobility for Educational and Professional Exchange, and Youth Engagement in Multistakeholder Dialogue<\/strong>&nbsp;(details are below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UfM Med Youth Lab 2024 is organized by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), with the support of the German Development Cooperation, in collaboration with the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes (UEMF) and in partnership with Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venue of the UfM Med Youth Lab 2024: the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes (UEMF) Campus, Fes, Morocco<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Euro-Mediterranean-University-of-Fes-UEMF-Campus-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes (UEMF) Campus\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ufm-med-youth-lab-2024-call-for-applications\/#\">1<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ufm-med-youth-lab-2024-call-for-applications\/#\">2<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ufm-med-youth-lab-2024-call-for-applications\/#\">3<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ufm-med-youth-lab-2024-call-for-applications\/#\">4<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can I apply to the UfM Med Youth Lab 2024?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Embarking on the UfM Med Youth Lab 2024 journey? Ensure a smooth application process with this checklist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Confirm your eligibility<\/strong>: Verify that you meet all criteria, including age, nationality, availability, travel document validity, proficiency in English, and a keen interest in the thematic clusters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Financial coverage considerations<\/strong>: Check whether your nationality qualifies for financial coverage. We\u2019re excited to welcome participants from all<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/who-we-are\/member-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UfM Member States<\/a><\/strong> but not all selected applicants will be eligible for the full coverage of costs (i.e., travel and accommodation among others).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Application guidelines<\/strong>: Thoroughly review the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2024_UfM_MEDYOUTHLAB_Guidelines4App.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Guidelines for Applications<\/em><\/a> <\/strong>document to understand the application process fully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Documentation preparation<\/strong>: Gather all necessary documents, such as a passport copy and a compelling motivation video (3 minutes max.). href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/UfM_YouthActionPlan_CoverAgenda_04.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UfM Youth Agenda: Call for Action<\/a><\/strong>, a guiding document that call Euro-Mediterranean stakeholders to recognize the transformative power of youth and empower them, focusing on three thematic priorities: Environment and Climate Action, Education and Employment, and Social inclusion and Participation. The initiative aims to operationalize the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/youth-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UfM Youth Strategy 2030<\/a> <\/strong>and aligns with the other activities of the UfM Youth Dossier, focused on fostering youth engagement in capacity-building activities and multistakeholder dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emerging from feedback during the third edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/event\/3rd-edition-mya-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Mediterranean Youth Academ<\/strong><strong>y<\/strong><\/a> (MYA), the UfM Med Youth Lab addresses the identified need for skill-building initiatives to empower Euro-Mediterranean youth in transforming their ideas into concrete projects. Furthermore, the thematic clusters of the UfM Med Youth Lab were developed from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ufmsecretariat.org\/ufm-launches-youth-engagement-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UfM Youth Engagement<\/a> <\/strong>initiative, a series of online meetings designed to foster youth participation in policy planning, implementation, and follow-up related to the UfM Youth Agenda\u2019s thematic priorities.
