Active Citizenship and Conflict Transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>10-17 June 2024 | Pervolia, Larnaca, Cyprus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We aim to equip 28 youth workers with competences in conflict transformation and active citizenship to enable them to act as community leaders by taking action towards peaceful coexistence in their local realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, or for more information click here:<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/youthpeaceambassadors\/act-open-call-for-participants-540c6a563a86\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<strong>link<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partner countries:&nbsp;Cyprus (applicant), Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Italy, Spain<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AIM:&nbsp;We aim to equip 28 youth workers with competences in conflict transformation and active citizenship to enable them to act as community leaders by taking action towards peaceful coexistence in their local realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to develop participants understanding of the nature of conflict and approaches on working towards sustainable positive peace;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to strengthen participants` critical reflection about their social realities and challenges to human rights by learning about the conflict analysis tools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to map consequences of conflicts in local realities on the lives of young people on the personal and societal level;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to reflect and develop skills on active citizenship and youth engagement, such as leadership, political participation, raising awareness on existing conflicts and dialogue facilitation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to provide participants with practical tools on nonviolent conflict transformation to be used in their local youth work, in particular with nonviolent communication, conflict management, active listening and empathy practice;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to ensure planning of at least 6 follow-up actions in which participants will act as peaceful leaders of transforming conflicts in their communities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to offer participants space for their sustainable engagement as community leaders within the international network of peacebuilders and their learning tools (inter alia through e-learning on conflict transformation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>18\u201335 year old (if you are a youth worker \u2014 apply no matter of your age range)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who is living&nbsp;in one of these countries:&nbsp;Cyprus, Greece, T\u00fcrkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Serbia, Poland, Spain and Italy (you don\u2019t need to hold passport of those countries, you need to live there)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>active or interested&nbsp;in the field of&nbsp;peace, conflict transformation, and youth engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>youth workers or passionate individuals&nbsp;that work or want to work with youth in their communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people active in&nbsp;social movements&nbsp;or people active as&nbsp;facilitators or educators&nbsp;in non\u2013formal education, especially within youth organizations and associations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>young people who believe in&nbsp;peaceful changes in their communities&nbsp;are passionate about issues facing their community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>able to communicate in&nbsp;English&nbsp;(this is the language of the trainings)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ready to commit to take part in the 6-days-training &amp;
