Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Digital Youth Work

This course is open for anyone in the world, but mainly focused on youth workers and non-formal educators from Europe willing to learn about digital youth work.

How to join the course?

Click on the enrolment link. Then enter your email, click if you are a new user of existing ‘Canvas Free for Teachers’ user, register and access the course. There will be no selection, just click on the link to enrol to the course now! You can join at any time.

You can start learning from the two first modules from the moment you will access the course.

The course content follows the training needs identified by the Expert group which provided with the policy recommendations, training needs and good practice examples for developing digital youth work.

The course will offer animated videos, good practice examples, self-assessment activities, sharing knowledge in discussion forums, resources, practical tools and tasks on the following themes:

These activities will be hosted on the Canvas online learning platform. You will be able to follow full course activities or explore only selected topics.

Online resources and activities

In this course you will be able to explore practice examples of digital youth work, learn many digital tools to use in your practice, develop a detailed understanding of digital youth work, share and exchange views with other youth workers, can put your ideas for digital youth work to practice.

Credentials

Everyone completing the course will receive open digital badges for each module and a Youthpass certificate for completing at least one module of the course.

The Lithuanian National Agency of Erasmus+ in the field of Youth coordinates this online course.

The team of facilitators, Nerijus Kriauciunas and Laimonas Ragauskas from the NGO Nectarus (Lithuania) developed and facilitates this course with great contributions by the experts and organisations active on digital youth work developments: Suvi Tuominen and Juha Kiviniemi, Verke – national Centre of Expertise for Digital Youth Work (Finland); Tracey Moore, Youth Work Ireland Midlands; Anu PÖYSKÖ, WIENXTRA-Medienzentrum (Austria); Barbara Buchegger from Austrian Institute for Applied Telecommunications (Austria); Michele di Paola, Spazio Giovani (Italy); Experts Adina Marina Șerban (Romania) and Evaldas Rupkus (Germany).

The Erasmus+ National Agencies from Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, and Portugal co-finance this course.
