ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project “Bridging Communities” brings together young people from Bosnia and Sweden to explore civil courage, self-leadership, and peacebuilding. By reflecting on the history of Bosnia and their own lived realities, youth will develop new perspectives on identity, inclusion, and social responsibility.
Objectives
- Increase awareness and practice of civil courage and self-leadership
- Explore conflict resolution through the lens of Bosnian history
- Strengthen intercultural understanding and community engagement
- Empower youth from marginalized areas to become changemakers
ABOUT THE HOST ORGANIZATION
Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities (BRAVO) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization. BRAVO is a professional organization based and focused on knowledge, entrepreneurship, civil society development, non-formal education and innovative learning and development techniques for young people and adults.
What makes this organization outstanding and ready to take responsibility are our key principles: tolerance, democracy, diversity, voluntariness and openness. We promote partnerships between the private sector, public sector and civil society for sustainable community development, advocating for the education of young people with an emphasis on skills needed in the 21st century, investing in entrepreneurship, innovation, non-formal education and sustainable local community development.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Age: 16 participants aged 14-19 and 4 participants without age limit
- Language Skills: English speaking participants
- Interested in the topic of the project
- All participants are active in youth work
- Have direct experience with segregation, violence, or low trust in society
- Open to intercultural experiences and eager to collaborate with others
- No prior business experience needed – just motivation and a desire to learn!
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVEL
– All the accommodation and food cost are 100% covered
– You’ll stay at the BM Hotel
– Travel costs will be refunded
– You’ll receive 3 meals per day.
– Comfortable rooms for 2 to 5 people.
