Training Course – The Sound Atlas: Sonic Storytelling

Training Course - The Sound Atlas: Sonic Storytelling

Training Course

1-10 August 2025 | Kamień, Poland

We aim to create and explore a sound library that can enable young people to express moods, emotions, and experiences through sound.

Feel the story. Hear the emotion

CONTEXT

The idea is to explore how music and audio elements can be used to tell a story, evoke emotions, and support youth work — especially when working with young people from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and those facing educational challenges.

Instead of relying on words or visuals, we are going to discover how to create stories through tones, rhythms and ambient sounds

DRAFT OF THE PROGRAM

This is a draft program which will be adapted to the group’s skills and abilities.
Additionally, the project is designed as an open space for participants to actively engage and take initiative.

The project venue and the entire duration of the group stay is an alcohol-free zone. Alcohol consumption is not permitted during workshops, after workshops, or at any time in the evenings.

The workshop space and all common areas are phone-free zones. Phones will only be used during specific activities when necessary for safety reasons — e.g. during nature trips or occasionally by facilitators, for example, to play background music.

We invite you to embrace a social media detox and be fully present throughout the experience

Before applying, please double-check your availability for the full project dates. Participation in the entire duration of the training is mandatory – late arrivals or early departures will not be possible.
